"Hey, uh... So you know I started working at the shelter and everything? I guess something happened last night and they brought in... ahem. Rae?"

[Alva Ren]

What? Rae? They brought in Rae? To the shelter? What happened? Is he okay? Is he hurt? Did he hurt somebody else?

[Ryland Ren]

"According to one of my supervisors, there was some kind of fight. A bunch of shifters were brought to the shelter and Rae was one of them. I didn't see Josh or any other wolves and my supervisor says the others are all pointing their fingers at Rae. I was going to call Aldon but... yeah. Anyway, should I just leave him alone? He's pretty beat up and he's refusing to call anybody but the shelter can't keep him forever."

...Josh isn't there? And they're saying Rae started the fight? *long sigh, longer silence* He won't do anything you tell him. He's too stubborn for that and he'll stay there just to spite you. Tell the others not to try and confront him or force him out, he... He might hurt them. And you be careful too, Ry.

Is he badly hurt? Does he need a doctor, do you think?

"No, no Josh. I think he got away? It's kinda confusing. The others are saying it was just Rae. And everybody's being super cautious but man... if the others press charges... I don't know how deep the super stuff goes anymore. Think they got lawyers for this?"

*laughs, realizes it's a bad time for jokes and cuts himself off*

"I didn't see him long but my supervisors say he was covered in blood before he got dressed, hard to tell where he was injured but when they caught him, he had a broken leg. Front leg. So... arm. I'd say he needs a doctor but he's being stubborn, just like you said."

[Alva Ren]

*not laughing!* It wouldn't be the first time Rae's gotten into legal trouble. He was lucky they didn't put him in jail last time, remember? The witness didn't show up, and they dismissed the case against him.

Maybe I should come down. Do you think it's a bad idea? He's so stupid, he won't get the help he needs if he's in one of his moods. And I know he'll just snap and snarl at everyone who tries to help. If Josh isn't there though, I might be able to talk him into going to the hospital at least.

Don't worry. He's not going anywhere any time soon. He's lucky he doesn't have bail if what they're saying is true.

Maybe someone should let Aldon know after all, so he can come get Rae later and keep an eye on him. I can't... bring him back to Susu's place.

I'd ask one of Rae's brothers but they're still grieving over his father's death and I don't think they need this to deal with too.

I can do it if you dont want to talk to Aldon. I don't want to put you on the spot.
