"I don't know anymore, Aldon. I don't know anything anymore. I think I just need some time alone."

"okay"

[Ryland Ren]

"...I guess this is goodbye."

[Aldon Huang]

".  No Ry... I don't want to say goodbye..."

[Ryland Ren]

"I don't know what else to say. We don't... we don't work the way we used to."

[Aldon Huang]

"Okay but to be fair... we never worked before either, Ry. It was just... kind of always the same thing, wasn't it?"

[Ryland Ren]

"... yeah, well... I... I guess love isn't all it takes to make a relationship to work."

[Aldon Huang]

"Then what does make it work? All I've heard is how things won't work out."

[Ryland Ren]

"We don't work because we don't want the same things, Ald. You want freedom, you want to love everybody you fall in love with. And I can't do that. I need all your love or I don't feel it, Aldon. I can't believe you when you say you love me but you're telling it to somebody else. When I look into your eyes and I hold you and I tell you that I love you, you're the only one I'm in love with. Even if I want to understand, even if I want you so bad it hurts, it hurts more to hold onto what doesn't feel real to me. How else can I explain it to you? You keep asking these questions and I don't know how to make you understand how I feel.

And--and, before you say anything! I know you love me.... but the doubt is still there. And I can't help it that it's there. I would rather say goodbye and heal than hold on and hurt.

So yes, this is goodbye, Aldon. Don't come back for me. We'll both be better off this way."
