Biography:
Soo Hyun is very careful about his interactions with others and is notoriously touchy about physical contact. It's not uncommon to see him suddenly jerking away from someone, or refusing to shake their hand. Friends who try to latch on to him quickly realize that he doesn't like the skinship.

This is because Soo Hyun is undead, having been reanimated as one of the strange creatures called Yin which have begun to roam Hazleton's streets.

Before the plane crash that ended his life, Soo Hyun was a dancer. He had a great love of life and was happily involved with a rising star and actor. On a trip to America to visit his relatives, his airplane caught fire and crashed near Eagle Ridge. There were several survivors but Soo Hyun was not one of them.

His body never having been found, however, no death certificate was issued.

After the accident he disappeared completely, abandoning his previous life in favor of a new one in Hazleton. He wrote home once to tell his parents that he's decided to live in America and now he lives a simple and subdued life outside of the limelight, out of fear and shame that someone from his former life could find him and discover what he is.
Notes:
Being touched by anyone other than another Yin causes severe bruising and burn-like marks that blister painfully.
