Adrian is a vampire who hunts his own kind.

Turned by a thoughtless predator nearly fifty years ago--who left him to rot and die--he managed somehow to survive but spent several terrifying weeks in the streets, recklessly attacking the homeless in order to feed his newfound, near-insatiable appetite. Time has tempered some of that appetite, allowing him to be more careful with the method with which he sustains himself.

He is often on the move, tracking down those of his own kind and quietly dispatching of them as he is able to. His faith, cultivated from childhood, has not forsaken him and forms a strong basis for his one-man crusade. However, knowing that he has willfully taken the lives of innocents, he hunts as much to atone for those sins as to rid the world of evil--one vampire at a time.

Somewhere along the way, his once-pure objectives have been warped but he sees his mission as a just and right one. There is little that anyone can say to stop him and being a man who prefers to keep himself very much to himself, he forms no real lasting bonds.

Adrian is quiet, reserved and gentle, but when he hunts he becomes almost a different person entirely. He cares deeply--for the innocent, for those unable to stand up for themselves, for the helpless. But for those he deems evil, there is very little mercy in his heart.
