The not-so-serious older brother of a professor, Reed went off at age 18 to see the world, backpacking his way across Europe and Asia. When he returned, he took up acting but failed to land any substantial parts in Hollywood. Fortunately, his extroverted, outlandish personality and solid singing voice landed him a small role in Broadway and eventually he worked his way to San Francisco where he became part of a musical theater troupe at the Fillmore.
When Moribund happened, he remained on the stage with his troupe members because in these times, don't we all need a good laugh or a good cry?
Reed's middle name might as well be 'Ham' because he hams it up on every occasion, whether it's called for or not. A theatrical man with a flair for the dramatics bordering on irritating, Reed isn't the sort of person to hold anything back. He will broadcast his feelings to the universe and he is never ashamed to speak his thoughts aloud.
His demon is called Pierro, a marionette with rosy cheeks, blood-red eyes and a wide, smiling mouth. It confers upon him the ability to make anyone laugh--whether they want to or not. And he can make them continue to laugh until their heart gives out and they die, which thankfully he hasn't had to do yet.
