Phy's people are a unique race of organics who have adapted to living near the core of the planet Quora Prime. Typically regarded as a "lost race" due to the rarity of sighting them aboveground, some hypothesized that they may even be descendants of gods. They possess elemental cores which act like hearts, and which allow them to draw mana from the ley lines.

His father helped build the first prototype of the ship that he travels on now. Phy keeps a small replica of it in his cabin.
